The following is a non-exhaustive list of Code of Conduct Team participants, including background and expertise. These credentials are supplied and verified at the permission of the respective persons.

BODIEDNovelist – PA, USA (he/him)

  • Background
    • Owner of the FGC TO Discord since October 2019; writer at toptier.gg since August 2019; author of Bodied, the world’s first FGC novel; longtime volunteer chairperson for Persad, a Pittsburgh-based LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS charity.
    • Occupation/Degree: software QA, author; BS in Mathematics & Philosophy, MA in Bioethics.
    • Other: avid playground basketball player; meme factory.

    • Server Owner: rather than serving on any particular committee, Eli serves as a facilitator (or, as he calls it, a Tournament Organizer Organizer) for the group as a whole, which includes: moderating whole-group meetings and other cross-committee discussions where necessary; doing light Discord administrative work; creating simple web forms; copyediting group documents; responding to journalists’ inquiries; and other miscellaneous tasks.

corjam – OH, USA (he/him)

  • Background
    • Akron-based TO and advocate of the Ohio FGC; creator and maintainer of https://ohiofgc.com/; main organizer of Ohio’s online fighting game weekly, Dragon Punch: Online.

    • Collegiate: active with the University of Akron’s esports program and fighting game club; the dream is to help build a collegiate fgc league.

    • Tournament organizer as a part of East Side Smash for local Melee and Project + events for 2+ years; organizer of The Cascadian (2020), [Redacted] City 9 (2020), and the No Fundies League (2020-21); project + organizer for the Frame Perfect Series #4 (2021).
    • Currently a college student.
    • Other: senior leadership trainer with National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) since 2016.

    • TO for The Bahamas over the past 3 years across various games and genres including Smash, Samurai Shodown, Skullgirls, Tekken, and Under Night; president of The Bahamas Esports Federation to bring the industry here and help people, including the younger generation, to get into esports/casual gaming; member & TO of the Caribbean Esports Federations Alliance.

    • Inclusion & Diversity: is queer-identified and is a member of several communities which have heavy queer and LGBTQIA+ representation; is fairly well-connected to trustworthy sources for second thoughts on situations where own white & abled privilege may give insight gaps.
    • Moderation: has acted in at least some mod capacity in countless communities including IRC channels, message boards, subreddits, Discord servers, and Twitch streams since around 2007; currently a moderator for Frame Fatales as well as a smaller Twitch community (~200-300 concurrent viewers on average); past positions include Pokemon Crater, Gaia Online, /r/smashbros.

    • President of ChicagoTekken.com; runs the ChiTek Online weekly Tekken 7 tournament; volunteers with the BGCallisto and LowKick TO teams.

    • FGC Work Experience: Event Organizer for weekly “FGC Meetups”; Production Assistant, Assistant Tournament Organizer, and Editor for Low Kick Esports since 2018.
    • Occupation: Resident Services for 900+ unit condominium building.

    • TO since 2015, predominantly in the Eastern Washington State region: no explicit title focus, but has experience across a wide range such as Street Fighter, Smash, Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Samurai Shodown, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Under Night, BlazBlue, Guilty Gear, etc; assistant staff at Sakura-Con 2019; TO and chief organizer of the Washington State University and Pullman FGC; head organizer of regional tournament Hollow’s Eve; weekly tournament organizer at WSU; moderator of Pacific Northwest Airdashers Discord server.
    • President of Washington State University Esports, former Vice President: a key part in building up the program through means such as writing and editing funding proposals, building up local presence through on-the-ground and online advertising, community management, and event organization.

    • Competitive fighting game player starting in 2003; fighting game commentator since 2010; attorney working in fighting games, esports, video game development, and more since 2011, with clients in the FGC including major tournament organizers, major stream broadcasters, top level teams and players, and well known merchandisers.
    • Occupation: attorney since 2011, commentator/content creator since 2010.
